Our patient’s well being is as important to us, as it is to them.
“Dr. Donato recently performed a functional assessment of my movements. The assessment was extremely helpful as it helped identify my problematic areas or, as Keith described it, the “weak links” in the way I move. Dr. Donato has been using the results from the movement screen along with Active Release treatments and an at home corrective exercise prescription to help correct my problematic movement patterns and increase my mobility. I am extremely happy with the results thus far.”

Dr. Keith Donato is simply the best chiropractor I know. I say chiropractor, but he is so much more. He knows the structures of the body and how to relieve the pain that comes when you discover you have done too much! I highly recommend Dr. Donato.

Your treatment after my Heimlich pain was incredibly effective. I am continuing the Advil and icing, but I am 90% better and hope you can do an adjustment.
Most of all I want to thank you for being so dedicated and caring in your practice. Professionals don’t usually get lots of appreciation because it is “our job” and we get paid well. I want you to know that my life is better because of your care.

“I have a job where I generally sit at my desk all day. After years of suffering with low back pain as well as upper shoulder pain Dr. Donato has been able to accomplish what no other chiropractor or orthopedic was able to do-alleviate my pain. He was able to alleviate my back and shoulder pain so I am able to sit at my desk and perform my job duties. But he goes well beyond the issue of sitting at my desk all day and has helped me further by giving me exercises that work on improving my posture. Also, he absolutely goes above and beyond with his patients. I can’t tell you how much it means to me that he actually checks in to see how I’m doing and follows up to make sure I am not only doing my exercises but doing them properly. He always wants to know if I have any questions. He is constantly researching and sending me new exercises and foam rolling videos that have helped me continue to self-manage.
It’s so refreshing to go to a doctor that is not pushing for over treatment. He’s available by text or email all the time-that in itself is piece of mind.”

I recently completed a series of several chiropractic treatments on my neck by Dr. Donato. I have suffered from chronic vertigo for over a decade which has resulted in daily lightheadedness. I have been evaluated for many, many potential causes without any findings, including cardiac defects, inner ear infections, carotid artery constriction, brain tumor, etc. All tests have come back negative. Yet no treatment whatsoever has produced any significant or lasting improvement, including head maneuvers or related therapy. Until I started treatment from Keith. I have to say that I had never seen a chiropractor prior to my first appointment with him. I was a bit of a skeptic. However, while I am not ready to proclaim that I have been cured, I can tell you that it has been weeks since I have experienced any significant lightheadedness! I have not had even one day of relief, let alone weeks of relief, prior to being treated by Dr. Donato. I anticipate returning for an occasional “adjustment” just to stay on track. I am looking forward to the golf season ahead where I can bend down and pick the ball up out of the cup without getting dizzy. Thank you Keith!

I recently had what seemed like a “normal” knot in my back end up turning into the worst chronic upper back/lower neck pain I’ve ever experienced. I ended up having entrapped nerves where even the slightest movements would send the worst sharp, shooting pains that I had ever experienced. It got to the point where even sitting still or lying down, regardless of the position I was in, was extremely uncomfortable and causing constant pain. I was seeing another chiropractor 3 times a week for 2 months, and they could not figure out what was causing my pain and discomfort. At most, I would get some very temporary relief, but the pain ultimately kept getting worse. I couldn’t sleep, I couldn’t concentrate at work, I was in constant pain and life had become miserable.
And then I found Keith. After 1 initial visit with Keith, I woke up the next day pain free for the first time in 2 months. In my initial visit with Keith, he took an hour to really listen to the entire history of my problem and assess my situation. He was able to figure out the true source of my pain and discomfort and through Active Release Technique, alleviate my pain. I continued to see Keith and in between visits, Keith was always available via text message if I had any symptoms or anything else that I had questions about. Keith would even reach out to me first just to check in and see how I was doing. Keith never pushed or rushed into scheduling the next appointment, he would always assess my progression and go from there. When the time was right, Keith started giving me exercises to do at home to help fully resolve the source of my problem, and make sure that I was conditioning my body to prevent it from happening again. I’ve decided to continue to see Keith once a month as preventative maintenance, but that was entirely my decision and never pushed by Keith.
I can’t thank Keith enough for getting me out of the worst pain I’ve experienced in my life, and I highly recommend him to anyone experiencing any type of pain or discomfort. Prior to seeing Keith I tried seeing my primary physician, had a CT Scan, a Nerve Conduction Study, and as I mentioned previously, was seeing another Chiropractor 3 times a week for 2 months. Nobody but Keith was able to diagnose the true source of my problem and alleviate my pain. Thank you Keith!!
– Andrew B.
“I came to see Keith about my shoulder awhile ago, I saw him about 3 times
the treatment he preformed really helped, I was able to move my shoulder much better even after the first appointment.
Keith makes you feel comfortable (especially when you are not sure what to expect)
He talks you through the process of what he is going to do.
I recommend him to my other co-workers.”
– Stephanie C.
“I first came to Dr. Donato about 12 years ago. My back had suddenly seized to a point where I could barely move and had sharp pain with the slightest movement. After the first visit I was nearly pain free and able to move. Two more visits and I was “cured”… Until the next time! I was back about a year later with a less severe problem. It, again, took a couple of visits before I was back to normal.
To save myself a great deal of pain and time-off from work, I decided to book regular visits. For me, every six weeks keeps me in great shape. I have not had any serious issues during the time I have been coming for regular readjustments.
Dr. Donato continuously asks questions so that he can pinpoint the issue and address the problem. He works out all of my kinks, even those I didn’t know I had. He’s pleasant and personable and I would (and have) highly recommend him!”
– Maureen R.
“I started seeing Keith for shin splints, which had been so bad they caused a stress fracture. Although I quit running, I continued to suffer from them for years. They caused constant pain walking even short distances. Using active release technique, Keith cured them within a few visits, and they have not returned. I continued to visit Keith for neck and back stiffness. I was hesitant to start chiropractic services on my neck, because I had had really bad experiences in the past. Because of this bad experience “adjustments” were not my thing. Understanding my hesitancy, Keith used active release technique to relieve my neck and back pain. We slowly worked into being able to perform adjustments. I now see Keith regularly for “tune ups” ranging from neck stiffness, knee pain, and sciatic pain. I’ve recommended Keith to more friends than I can remember, who have all had equal success with his treatments. ”
– Julie R.
“I have been a patient of Dr. Donato for 10+ years. I most recently visited him to address discomfort in my back/left shoulder area that resulted from strength training. As always, he listened to my concerns and incorporated the information I provided into his treatment process. I felt a substantial amount of relief during the treatment, followed his post treatment suggestions, and by the next day I was able to return to my training regimen.
Over the years I’ve received more relief for athletic type injuries by way of his ART and chiropractic treatments than from any traditional medical doctor. I have referred many friends to him and will continue to do so because of the effective treatment he provides. I’m not a fan of parting with my money but rather than viewing the treatment as an expense, I see my visits with him as an investment in me. ”
– Joe N.
“Keith Donato has more knowledge about the movement and function (distinction in my case) of the human body then probably 99% of professionals out there. He literally fixes issues that I’ve been told need surgery. I honestly am amazed each time I go to Keith. The amount of knowledge and the ability to heal someone who’s had 9 different surgeries from years of powerlifting is mind blowing. Thanks Keith!”
– E. Stumpf
“Doc, you got me ready! Seven weeks ago, I was excited about being able to run for two minutes of a walk/run and yesterday I ran 13.1 miles. It was a rough start but I had a strong bike and run. The swim was cold; my hands would just not warm up. The transition took 25 minutes, but I got going on the bike and passed 320 people and ran the entire 13.1 miles. That was good enough for 5th place and a podium finish. It would not have been possible without your treatment, encouragement, guidance and expert knowledge. It is so reassuring to know that I have such a smart doctor should issues arise. I have learned so much working with you. This definitely isn’t the last time we’ll see each other!
Thank you SO much for all you did!”
– Michael B.
“After a life-time of athletics of all kinds, I found myself in need of some adjusting. While out on an Ultra running race, I found the incredible and almost immediate relief brought on through work done by a physical therapist who practiced Active Release Technique. Dozens of miles later, I found myself back home in Saratoga Springs, NY and in pursuit of someone who could offer this mode of healing rehabilitation. Keith came recommended by a friend as a chiropractor who practiced Active Release Technique. My experience has been that Keith is a highly talented practitioner of Chiropractic Medicine and Active Release Technique. My love of sports definitely requires the occasional support of a skilled professional and Keith is by far the best practitioner I have found in the Capital District. His use of chiropractic medicine and Active Release Technique generate deep healing of the muscles and the joints. I cannot recommend Keith Donato enough. ”
– Kristen R.
“I am sincerely grateful to Dr. Donato. I came to him after a car accident left me unable to do the things that I loved to do – gardening, hiking, biking and skiing without pain and discomfort.
My hips and SI joint didn’t flex properly and I also suffered from long nerve entrapment that caused horrible sciatica. I tried pain management/injections, physical therapy, traditional chiropractic treatment, acupuncture. Surgery likely wouldn’t have helped me recover fully, although plenty of surgeons were willing to operate.
Dr. Donato helped restore normal motion to my hip and lower back and he released my sciatic nerve through his expert application of Active Release Techniques and exercise regimen.
Under his care, I was able to get back to my active lifestyle and avoid surgery altogether.”
– Judy A.
“I began seeing Dr. Donato at the recommendation of my personal trainer. I have been treated for several issues/injuries including shoulder pain, a back injury, post-surgery treatment on my Achilles tendon as well as neck pain. Treatments are always prompt, affordable, professional and most importantly, they provide effective pain relief to the injured area. Seeing Dr. Donato is always a pleasant experience; he is funny yet professional, prompt yet he takes enough time to be thorough. I highly recommend him.”
– Elaine L.
“I first started seeing Keith on the advice of a lacrosse buddy. I was having terrible Achilles pain to the point where it simply hurt to walk. Keith’s practice of ART was the only thing that worked for me. I tried other therapies but nothing provided relief and got me back playing lacrosse. I’m not aware of anyone else who practices ART and for that reason alone it’s worth giving Keith a try. Besides that he’s an all around good guy, I definitely recommend. ”
– Jay P.
“Had a gnarly, painful hip that prevented me from squatting below parallel. Dr. Donato fixed it at 11:30am and I squatted 195lbs at 2pm that same day. Pain free!! Highly recommend!”
– Christina A.
“I have sent numerous swimmers with a wide range of issues to Dr. Donato and have seen immediate as well as long-term improvement due to Active Release Techniques® and more specifically Dr. Donato’s work. Competitive swimming is repetitive motion by nature and thus can cause a large amount of stress to the tendons, muscles, etc. This treatment is extremely pro-active in identifying the cause, solution, and prevention to combat these problems and leads to, among other things, increased range of motion, strength, and flexibility. I highly recommend Dr. Donato to all of my swimmers and have had 100% satisfaction with his work with all of the swimmers that I have sent to his practice.”
– Chuck D.
“I have been a patient of Dr. Donato for over 6 years during which time he keeps me physically able to do all the activities I have grown to love such as going to the gym, hiking and bicycling. I read an article about Dr. Donato’s wholistic approach toward treating the ailment or problem and made an appointment to see him. I had been having chronic lower back pain which pretty much restricted me from being as active as I wanted to be. He was able to work with not only the spine, but the muscles, ligaments and tendons around my back, quadriceps and hamstrings. Gradually, with his treatments and exercise program, I was able to move and do things without pain and limitations. Getting an appointment is no problem, and he will rearrange his schedule to make room for people who need to see him on short notice. I continue to see him for maintenance and when I overdo it. In short, Dr. Donato has given me the quality of life I want, and I know he is always has my best interests in mind.”
– Carol M.
“I suffered from severe plantar fasciitis for 8 months. I tried physical therapy, several new insoles, a night splint, cortisone shots, and plenty of rest, yet I remained in serious pain. On a friend’s recommendation, I made an appointment with Dr. Donato. In less than a month, the difference in pain and mobility was significantly noticeable. In less than two months, the pain had decreased to the point where I often didn’t notice it, and my mobility had greatly increased. I could take long walks again, and work all day on my feet without limping. I still cannot believe how quickly I was able to see a difference. Dr. Donato’s ART therapy was extremely effective for dealing with my chronic pain issue. I am so grateful for his expertise.”
– Chris H.
“Plagued by chronic shoulder pain after years of heavy weight lifting, and following a consensus among a number of reputable orthopaedic surgeons that an operation would be needed to relieve the impingement, I decided, first, to try A.R.T. therapy after some initial research into the benefits.
This brought me to Dr. Keith Donato, a fully certified provider in Upstate New York. The result was a game changer. After a couple short months of therapy and incorporating his rehab protocol into my workouts, I was, to my amazement, training pain free for the first time in 10 years. I am now a competitive powerlifter, and I cannot overstate the importance of rapid, full recovery from injury, which Keith has been an integral part of, from my shoulder (which has remained surprisingly healthy for years) to a torn IT band, frequent lumbar spine issues, etc. I credit his regular “tune-ups,” in fact, to my ability to continue powerlifting at a high level into my “masters” years.”
– Todd H.
“For more than three years, I struggled with biomechanical and balance problems that greatly inhibited my ability to run downhill and otherwise severely compromised my running. I was unable to race and even had to avoid some of my favorite running routes. I went to orthopedists, physical therapists, chiropractors, a podiatrist and even a neurologist, but no one could find a cause of the problem or help me improve.
A running acquaintance recommended Active Release Therapy, and I made an appointment with Dr. Donato. I was not sure what to expect given the lack of success with other forms of treatment, but over the next few months I experienced gradual improvement, something that had not happened previously. This continued, and over the past year the progress I have made in recovery is little short of phenomenal. I am truly grateful to Dr. Donato, and highly recommend Active Release Therapy as a treatment for many common (and not so common) running injuries.”

“Professionally, as a swimming coach, meeting Keith 8 years ago was one of the best things to happen to my athletes. With the types of injuries we usually deal with, Keith has usually been my first recommendation. We never hear “rest it for 2 weeks, and come back.” Keith goes after why there’s an issue in the first place – not just the pain itself. And the athletes are very comfortable with him. The first athlete we ever sent to Keith had just completed a full 2-3 month PT schedule for her knee, and still couldn’t make it through 10 minutes of practice without the pain. After her first treatment with Keith, she swam half a workout. After her next treatment, she was back on track. I trust Keith. Personally – I thought I would just have to deal with the pain of bone on bone until I got a hip replacement. But seeing Keith has me back on the golf course and has allowed me to put off a replacement for a while. ”
– Jerry A.
“Four weeks ago I couldn’t run more than .16 miles with excruciating IT band related knee pain and I was worried that my marathon training was going to stop. After your first A.R.T. treatment I could start running again. After the third treatment I was able to run 14 miles with no pain. I am happy to let you know that I completed the 2014 NYC Marathon yesterday at a personal record. Thank you again for your help. I feel great and have not had pain since your first treatment. ”

“I had the kind of shoulder pain that takes swimmers out of the water. However, my goal was to swim across the English Channel, which required intense training. My orthopedist made non-specific diagnoses and prescribed weeks of rest. I thought there was nothing I could do.
Dr. Donato looked beyond my symptoms to find the muscular imbalances and adhesions that developed in locations seemingly unrelated to the pain. His skilled application of ART and a range of other techniques relieved the pain and allowed my shoulder to move properly.
All I really wanted to do was train. Dr. Donato made swimming possible and was an invaluable part of my preparation for a successful English Channel crossing.”

“I have known Dr. Keith Donato as a patient for almost a year, and throughout the past year of treatment the changes Dr. Donato brought upon me have been life-changing.
For the latter part of my high school swimming career, I suffered from painful impingement and hypermobility of my glenohumeral joint (the rotator cuff muscles). The pain kept me out of the water and from competing in the only sport I knew (being half-blind, contact sports are a ‘no-go’ with me). Daily activities such as shifting the gears in a manual car, or lifting a gallon of milk were painful and annoying.
For roughly 8 months I had seen many specialists, and physical therapists; nothing seemed to be helping. On a whim, I decided to make an appointment with Dr. Donato. Dr. Donato helped me understand, that my recover is a marathon, rather than a sprint. He stresses that individual client dedication to his prescribed “exercises at home” was something that needed to be followed for improvement. The progressive exercises coupled with Dr. Donato’s extensive knowledge and experience with “Active Release Techniques” (ART) considerably reduced the pain and inflammation that was occurring. Essentially, recovery is a two-way street, if the patient is dedicated with his/her “exercises at home” progress will materialize.
Staying active throughout this pain was paramount to my beliefs; and eventually in the Spring of 2016 (after roughly 4 months of treatments), I was cleared by Dr. Donato to join the boys track team, and start weight-lifting.
Throughout my visits, my views on exercise science has been sizeable changed for the better. In thanks to Dr. Donato I am living relatively pain free, swimming twice a week, and an active member of my University’s Crew (rowing) team. His strength training recommendations and the sale of “Emergent Nutrition’s Synergy XP” have helped me gain over 18 pounds of lean muscle in 4 short months.
Dr. Donato has been one of the most influential persons I have come to know. Always placing his patient’s health as his paramount objective, keeping consistent lines of communication open, and advice on recovery is noted and greatly appreciated. Dr. Keith Donato has transformed me from a ectomorphic swimmer whose shoulder was almost torn, into a bigger, stronger, and more confident athlete and person. Keith is a breath of fresh air.”

“For more years than I can remember, or care to remember , I had a great deal of lower back pain. I went to many different doctors and every time I left their office I felt like I was in more pain than I was when I went into their office. I was even told surgery might be necessary. I met the doctor at my place of work and boy am I glad I did! With The therapy the doctor provided and the life style tips the doctor gave me I no longer suffer from this back pain. I can run sleep walk and just go about my day now without ever having those terrible pains in my lower back.
Doctor, should you read this review I just want to say again, you are more than just a doctor to me you are also my friend. Thank you thank you”

“Several years ago I was looking for a chiropractor in the area and Dr. Keith Donato was recommended to me by my brother. Over the years I have gone to him for a variety of physical issues and he has helped me compete in several marathons, as well as other athletic endeavors. This past year I was training for the Ironman in Lake Placid and Dr. Donato helped me stay healthy through the course of my training and furthermore get me across the finish line! I also coach soccer at Shen and have recommended several of our players to him to seek treatment. Dr. Donato is quick to respond to appointment requests and do his best to fit you in. However, what I value most is his top quality of treatment and his welcoming personality.”

“I started coming to see Dr. Keith Donato in April 2018 seeking relief of the chronic pain I was having due to Plantars Fasciitis. I am an indoor cycling instructor as well as an avid HIIT participant, the pain was affecting my daily functions and preventing me from exercising. Keith began to treat me weekly and helped me to not only walk without pain but to go back to my active lifestyle. I am forever grateful for his expertise, his encouragement and above all his amazing bedside manner. I continue to see Keith as needed to maintain my wellness.”

“I have tried everything to deal with chronic back pain. Nothing is as effective as the ART Dr Donato performs. His deep muscle work has enabled me to push my limits, recover quickly, and enjoy the sports I love.”
– Chris B.
“As a runner for 40+ years, I’ve had my share of injuries. Battling a particularly stubborn case of Achilles tendinitis a few years ago, I sought help from Dr. Donato. Unlike many other healthcare practitioners, he took the time to get to know me and assess the underlying issues contributing to the problem. ART sessions may not be the most pleasant form of treatment, but I have seen great results and continue to see Dr. Donato for periodic maintenance, as well as for other aches and pains that arise. I always appreciate his willingness to answer any questions, offer advice, and especially his commitment to me as a unique individual patient.”
– Barbara G.
“I came to Dr. Donato for a recurring psoas spasm that was throwing my back out of alignment and making it difficult for me to do daily activities. He was able to release the spasms AND the adhesions creating the recurring problem. So grateful that Doc worked the root cause as it kept me out of pain and from continued out-of-pocket trips for massage, chiropractic, Accupuncture and all the other modalities that were dealing with the pain caused by the adhesions.”

“It with great pride I recommend the services that Dr. Keith Donato offers.
I have known Keith for the past 10 years, as an athlete facing injuries and as a coach who refers his athletes to him. His calm and personable demeanor makes the client relationship very worthwhile. I trust Keith. His knowledge, approach and listening builds that variable. These are the characteristics I look for that allow me the confidence to return time and time again.
My partnership with Keith began from a friendly conversation at Ironman Lake Placid in 2007. From that conversation I tried A.R.T. for myself. In just a couple sessions I was a believer in Keith’s approach. Now, T3 Coaching, LLC is proud to refer athletes to Keith as needed. The results have been remarkable. If you are experiencing some form of discomfort, whether acute or chronic, I encourage you to Keith a try. ”

“As an older endurance athlete, I have had occasional injuries over the years requiring chiropractic services. Dr. Keith Donato was referred by other athletic friends who spoke very highly of his treatment procedures.
I was particularly interested in the ART technique he uses, as my prior chiropractic experiences had not been helpful.
I found success with Dr. Donato’s use of the ART technique as he treats the cause not just the symptom. I’ve been a patient for over 10 years, and highly recommend him.
I was initially treated for plantar fasciitis and was extremely thrilled as he had me back running in a few visits.
Throughout the years he has also treated me for hamstring issues as well as neck and back adjustments. It’s good to know as I gracefully age and continue to be super active, that I have an experienced Doctor I can trust and to work on any injuries.
Dr. Donato has many years of experience, is extremely knowledgeable and is an excellent chiropractor. ”

“I have been blessed by having a very active life style. I played Football, Racquetball and trained in Martial Arts. Along with this I have lived in every time zone in the United States in large construction. As one reaches there 40’s and 50’s you start to pay for the punishment you have inflicted on ones body. I have been to various chiropractors for help but Dr. Keith Donato has helped me the most. Frankly over the past 10 years my whole family has utilized his talents. This includes my wife, daughters, son in laws and my sister in law. The help in pain relief we received was for our knees, shoulders, back, wrists, ribs, hips, neck, back and planters fascists. Yes we are an active group. We all would like to thank Keith for his help and the pain relief he has brought our family! While endorsing him for your pain relief needs.”

“I initially sought treatment from Dr. Donato for a persistent and debilitating running injury about 10 years ago.
Over that time, I have returned for other acute soft tissue and/or repetitive use injuries in my shoulder, neck and lower back.
On each occasion, Dr. Donato was able to quickly localize the critical areas that needed active release and chiropractic treatment.
Following a schedule of structured followup visits, and a prescribed home rehab plan including exercise, stretching and icing, I was able to return to multi sport activities remarkably quickly.
I consider Dr Donato’s services a primary component of my health management plan. His treatments help me maintain my active lifestyle when in good, and not so good health!”

“The first time I met Dr. Donato was while I was training for my first Marathon. Close to the end of training I had started having hip flexor pain and some imbalance issues. I was very worried that all of my hard work was in vain as it was very uncomfortable to even run a few miles let alone 26.2.
I was talking with people in training group and they highly recommend Dr. Donato. I will say that I was very skeptical as I had never went to a chiropractor, but let me say he quickly changed my mind and open my eyes to Active Release Techniques (ART). After a few appointments with him I was pain free and able to run the race. This year I was training for my second Marathon. Training was going amazing till the 3 weeks prior to the race; I slipped down a few steps in my basement and developed heavy bruising and pain in my right foot and ankle area. I went to the orthopedic and they took x-rays and did an MRI just to tell me it was a Tibia Stress Reaction (precursor to a stress fracture), I thought the race was out of the picture after all that hard work. I reached out to Dr. Donato, mind you at this point I was 2 weeks out to the Marathon, so I did not think anything could be done as I did not want the stress fracture and be forced to wear the dreaded boot for 6 weeks so in my mind was to shut it down and heal.
In a brief talk with Dr. Donato he said what it looked like to him was that I jammed my ankle when I slipped down the steps. In literally 2 appointments I was pain free and was able to set a new PR for my Marathon time. As a person in my running group always said, this is not an expense this is an investment in yourself and your bodies well being.
Thanks for everything Dr Donato,”

“I am a 68 year old endurance athlete. I first came to Keith in 2014 as I was preparing for my 5th Lake Placid Ironman.
My issues have ranged from keeping the area around my torn rotator cuff strong to Achilles injuries, to strains, sprains and everything in between.
Keith brings knowledge, compassion, and a sense of humor to his work, and he has become an integral part of my training and preparation.
I would not consider racing without him, and I can not recommend him highly enough. ”

“For more than five years, I’ve benefited from Dr. Donato’s ART treatments. During this time I’ve had ART treatments for my knees, feet, ankles, neck, back, shoulders, and hips. I always get relief from the treatments and lasting benefits from exercises, stretches, and foam roller movements that I do at home.
I’ve not only benefited from Dr. Donato’s knowledge and skill, but from his genuine concern for his patients. One example was a few years back when I was laid up for a time when I wasn’t able to visit his office. One strange symptom I was having was quite concerning. When lying down, both of my upper arms would twitch uncontrollably. The twitching was so intense, it made sleeping pretty much impossible.
My primary care physician was stumped and thought that I may have to schedule an appointment with a neurologist. I was not looking forward to undergoing a bunch of diagnostic tests with no guarantee that an answer could be found.
So, at my wits end, I contacted Dr. Donato via email and explained my dilemma. After I answered a few of his questions, he suggested that I lie down in a position that would better support my neck for about 5 minutes. He wanted me to notice if there was any improvement.
I have to admit, I didn’t think it would help much, but I didn’t have anything to lose. The first time I tried the position he suggested, the intensity of my twitching was reduced by at least 80%!
At his suggestion, I began lying in that position for at least 5 minutes a day and my twitching has been held at bay ever since. I highly doubt that a conventional medical doctor or even a physical therapist would have been able to help me as quickly and effectively.
If you are struggling with an acute or chronic injury, and you are not satisfied with the answers you’re getting from conventional care, you should consider ART. If you have had surgery and your recuperation is going much more slowly than you expected, ART may help speed your recovery. You owe it to yourself to give Dr. Donato a try.”

I have sent numerous swimmers with a wide range of issues to Dr. Donato and have seen immediate as well as long-term improvement due to Active Release “Techniques® and more specifically Dr.

Professionally, as a swimming coach, meeting Keith 8 years ago was one of the best things to happen to my athletes.

“My wife and I have been coming to Keith for the past 10 years, traveling an hour each way from our home. We lead an athletic and very active lifestyle. Thanks to Keith we can continue to do so.
Keith has treated a variety of health issues for both of us. Some were resolved in a single visit, others after a series….regardless, all better! Aching hips, knees, shins, feet… just about everything our aging bodies are experiencing he has treated. Lessening or eliminating our pain and allowing us to stay active.
Professional, honest, highly skilled…..Keith is the man!!!!!”

“While I am not an Ironman Triathlete, I am relatively active with cycling, skiing and other outdoor sports. I had long suffered from chronic hip pain that was starting to interfere with my enjoyment of these sports. After a series of doctors who told me that I would just have to work through living with the pain because “it was the way I was built” and I was active, I found Keith. He not only helped me understand why I might be suffering from the pain, but also didn’t think it crazy that I enjoyed 30 mile bicycle rides and wanted to do so, pain-free.
He didn’t just treat the symptoms, but investigated the cause of my pain and provided me with advice to try to abate it. And, it was refreshing that he understood my desire to be active without pain. I’m happy to say that I’m mostly pain free these days and I feel I owe a lot of that to Keith’s treatments and advice”

“Had a gnarly, painful hip that prevented me from squatting below parallel. Dr. Donato fixed it at 11:30am and I squatted 195lbs at 2pm that same day. Pain free!! Highly recommend!”

“I have been an avid runner for approximately 45 years, racing at distances between 1 and 2 miles initially and gradually progressing through the long distances to marathons and most recently to the ultra marathon distance. During those years, as would be expected, I had developed many musculoskeletal injuries that I had sought professional treatment for. I have been treated by many chiropractors for various running related injuries and although the treatments were mostly effective I was never completely satisfied. Until I was introduced to Dr. Donato and the Active Release Technique.
Dr. Donato’s treatments are never less than a half hour in length and my recovery time has been far shorter with fewer treatments than I had experienced with other providers. Approximately 10 years ago I had incurred a traumatic meniscus tear injury. As the injury was occupation related, I was relegated through the workman’s compensation process to orthopedic medicine. The tear was confirmed and I was given a choice of surgical intervention or tolerating the pain.. In either scenario though the doctor
told me I would not be running any more marathons. So what’s the point in having the surgery I asked and the Dr responded “exactly”. Enter Dr. Donato and “let’s see what we can do”. I had already been seeing Dr. Donato for a number of years and he did not give me false hope but neither did he say never
again. Today I am running all distances including marathons without any symptoms related to my meniscus tear. I must admit that I have occasional flare ups that I treat with ice but my training has rarely been interrupted. Dr. Donato has been my go to guy for years now. I can’t say enough about him.
He is the consummate professional yet treats you as he’s your friend.”
